The Controller is responsible for assisting the Controller in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of accounting transactions and financial statements, and ensuring processes and procedures are conforming to the applicable principles of accounting and regulatory requirements.

Job Description

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of accounting transactions and financial statements.
  • Oversee and support various accounting functions, including but not limited to, accounts payable, customer invoicing, accounts receivable, G/L journal entries, financial reporting, etc.
  • Preparation, analysis and review of account reconciliations.
  • Provide financial guidance and direction in line with corporate accounting requirements to support operational decision-making
  • Manage and perform monthly close processes and deadlines.
  • Preparation of forecasts, budgets and financial analysis.
  • Support financial audits, prepare schedules and maintain documentation
  • Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
  • Establish and monitor internal controls
  • Maintain documentation of accounting processes
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis including collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information such as trends, variances, profit margins, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Provide accounting insight and leadership to team members

Job Requirements


A qualified Controller must possess the following:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, a CPA and or MBA/ MA is preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in I.F.R.S. and U.S. generally accepted accounting principles
  • 5-10 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Management experience preferred
  • High level of attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet assigned deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex legal contracts for application of accounting principles
  • Extensive knowledge and application of Microsoft Excel
  • Enthusiastic about working to advance an environment that embraces a digital mindset
  • Travel required.
