  • Overview

    This position is accountable for the overall management and operation of EPC(s) for Production, Staffing, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Environmental. This includes developing and maintaining relationships and communications with internal/external customers and community partners.

     

    The General Manager is responsible for safe and profitable operations for their Area of Responsibility (AOR) with goals of zero miss shipments, accidents, claims, or cargo damage.

     

    Job Description

    • Assures company spaces are maintained, lots are organized, and clean. Provides a safe and secure work environment for employees, customers, and vendors.
    • Ensures accurate management of processes involving incoming and outgoing shipments and their inspection for damage and proper configuration.
    • Establishes/evaluates local and corporate vendors to ensure best pricing and value.
    • Reviews pricing and labor charges for all facility activities on a regular basis.
    • Confirms proper maintenance and care of company property to include equipment and infrastructure.
    • Collaborates with Corporate/Regional Managers for appropriate staffing levels as well as the evaluation and performance of employees.
    • Coordinates with the Safety/Risk Manager to investigate all work-related injuries and create corrective action and lessons learned to mitigate future recurrences.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, plus five to seven years of related experience.
    • This position requires the ability to interpret diagrams and repair manuals.
    • Individual must be a self-starter with the ability to perform in high pressure and dynamic situations.
    • Must be proactive and think globally.
    • Must have proven management skills and experience in employee relations.
    • Must be able to work any shift and be open to future relocation.  Ability to work long hours and weekends if required.
    • Must have strong computer skills, including Word, Excel and data base navigational skills.
    • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Must be comfortable speaking in front of large groups of people.
