Supervise the execution of operational activities in an effective manner to achieve compliance with the indicators of the area through the best use of resources and adherence to the rules and policies of the company.
As an Operations Supervisor, you will have responsibility for planning and directing all department activities that support the operative processes of a major automotive manufacturer at the WWL Vehicle Processing Center (VPC).
� Evaluate daily production requirements and ensure the appropriate scheduling of resources.
� Provide direct, daily supervision of production employees.
� Ensure adequate training of department employees.
� Ensure that established operating procedures are followed for all department functions and processes.
� Ensure department efficiency standards are met or exceeded while maintaining WWL standards of quality and efficiency which are established by the Operations Manager
� Maintain workplace safety standards, including proper storage/handling of hazardous waste materials.
* Daily and Weekly timekeeping reviews and approvals in� timekeeping system.
� Other duties may be assigned as needed.
� Bachelor degree: Engineering, Administration
� 3-5 years first line supervisory experience (with production employees preferred)
� At least 1 year working in WWL
� At least 1 year in current role
� Experience with SOP, MRP, TQM, JIT, Kaizen, 5S, and visual factory management.
� Experience in an assembly line operation, with emphasis on automotive or mechanical applications.
� Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
� Experience in logistics industry, desirable automotive
� A self-starter with the ability to perform in high pressure and dynamic situations.
� Self-motivated with an extreme desire to succeed.
� Proactive, with the ability to think globally.
� Proven management skills and experience in employee relations.
� Willing to work any shift, open to future relocation; able to work long hours and weekends if required.
� Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and database navigational skills.
� Knowledge of the English language at an intermediate level or higher.
