    Operations Superintendent
    The Operations Superintendent directs and coordinates assigned shift activities to achieve facility KPI’s (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Employee) by applying Wallenius Wilhelmsen's Way of Working through direct reports and in a manner that aligns with our core values. The Operations Superintendent also supports positive employee relations and relationships with customers and business partners.


    • Develop, motivate and train all levels of employees for their professional development and future growth of the company
    • Planning and directing shift activities/operations
    • Performance Management to maximize capabilities of employees for additional responsibility and future growth of the company. This includes: performance evaluation, disciplinary action, training, employee development, motivation
    • Sufficient understanding of revenue drivers and efficiency standards to provide positive financial results
    • Collaboration among departments to ensure success within the shift and across shifts
    • Effective communication to effectively ensure all objectives and activities are understood and implemented.
    • Promote process standardization
    • Lead continuous process improvement
    • Utilize our Way of Working to achieve a safe work environment, cost reduction activities, quality objectives, KPI targets, and set TPA objectives to improve efficiency and productivity.
    • Development, motivation and training of management staff to maximize capabilities for additional responsibility/professional development and future growth of the company
    • Responsible for shift operational efficiencies
    • Compliance with company policies and employee ethical conduct in accordance with WW’s Code of Conduct

    Job Requirements

    A good fit for this position has 5-7 years in planning and directing operations, and experience in:

    • Inspiring change through communication at all impacted levels
    • Understanding revenue drivers and efficiency standards to deliver positive financial results
    • Leading continuous process improvements to achieve a safe and cost efficient work environment that meets performance targets
    • SOP, MRP, TQM, JIT, Kaizen, 5S, and visual factory management
    • Assisting management with evaluating the effectiveness of and recommending alternatives for work methods, procedures, controls and staffing to achieve accurate and timely movement and processing of product
    • Coaching, training, and developing associates. Motivating associates and maintaining a work place that demonstrates care and concern for all associates

            Essential Skills:

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work expericence, plus five to seven years of related experience
    • Previous change management experience (driving, influencing and inspiring change through communication at all impacted levels) 
    • Ability to work any shift and be open to future relocation. Must be able to work long hours, weekends and holidays
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel software applications
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive manual and automatic transmissions
