    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
    This position is responsible for the completion of assigned work within the time and quality limits established. Total customer satisfaction is the primary goal of this position, doing the right things correctly, the first time. The employee also recognizes their responsibility to perform all work in a safe and efficient manner and to adhere to all the safety rules regarding the use of PPE including the wearing of safety toed work shoes or any other safety equipment deemed necessary.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Abide by all OSHA standards and company safety regulations.
    • Operation of heavy construction and/or agricultural equipment
    • Work with an array of hydraulic and electrical systems
    • Interpretation of machine manuals and schematics for assembly or repair purposes.
    • Use of hand and air powered tools. Employees supply their own hand tools.
    • Physical demands. Please refer to the list of physical activities required for this position.
    • Must possess a valid driver license.


    JOB DUTIES

    • Operation of lift truck and heavy construction and agricultural equipment; positioning for work and testing purposes.
      • Operate various track and rubber tired equipment including but not limited to tractors, wheel loaders, excavators, dozers, dump-trucks, skid steers and lift trucks.
    • Must provide own tools and be able to operate the following tools including but not limited to:
      • grinders                                sanders                    drills
      • impact wrenches                   wrenches                pry bars
      • measuring devices                drill press
    • Housekeeping and maintenance as required:
      • Keep shop/work area clean and report any company equipment in need of repair.
    • Follow directions from any supervisor to complete all assigned tasks timely and safely.
    • Perform many different types of job functions as required by the workload including inside and outside assignments.
    • Engage and assist with the mounting/connection of blades, buckets, sticks, booms, side-frames, counter-weights, catwalks and safety rails, cabs, ROPS, and other machine parts.
      • Some installations may involve welding skills.
    • Installation of machine kits to include but not limited to:
      • Air conditioners
      • Hydraulic valve kits
      • Pre-lube kits
      • Fire-suppression systems
      • GPS system installations
      • Weatherization packages

    Job Requirements

    ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL AND INTELLECTUAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Ability to satisfy the physical requirements of the job listed below as evidenced by successful completion of the company physical abilities test.
    • Frequent lifts and carrying of up to 50 pounds for distances of 50 feet (could include oak blocks used for rigging and transport of machines).
    • Overhead lifting of 50 pounds
    • Climbing to and working at heights of up to 15 feet
    • Completing a full workday walking and/or standing
    • Perform work from a wide range of positions including: standing, sitting, bending , reaching, kneeling, reclining, from scaffolding or ladders
    • Sufficient hand and arm strength to un-package, install, or remove machine parts. May include the use of a 20 pound sledgehammer or other hand or power tools.
    • Pushing and pulling heavy material handling equipment such as floor cranes or jacks, and engaging in activities such as rolling tires or moving oak blocking.
    • Sufficient hand dexterity and strength to fasten, insert, and remove bolts and pins of various sizes and weights from a few ounces to 20 pounds and to operate and withstand the impact and vibration of electric and air-powered power tools.
    • Capable of work outside in all reasonable weather conditions
    • Conduct work responsibilities while exposed to dirt, dust, and fumes from the operation of construction equipment, cranes, forklifts, etc.
    • Must pass post-offer NIDA 5 drug screen as a condition of hire.
    • Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems related to construction and agricultural equipment.
    • Operating knowledge of construction and agricultural equipment.
    • Knowledge of the tools used to complete duties of the position.
    • Ability to read and comprehend machine manuals and schematics
    • Must possess a current and valid drivers license.
