    Wallenius Wilhelmsen is seeking a talented Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our Newark, NJ team.

     

    As a Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor for Wallenius Wilhelmsen your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.

    Job Description

    • Audit in-process procedures and final quality of the vehicle to assure compliance with established quality standards.
    • Understand customer requirements concerning vehicles' condition prior to shipment.
    • Plan and direct QA activities as well as ensure activities support objectives.
    • Reporting of quality data and field warranty analysis as well as developing and submitting quality analysis reporting.
    • Become an internal resource in terms of implementation, training and roll out of processes.
    • Develop summaries/presentations of complex technical issues in a manner that non-technical teams at WW/Customers/others can readily understand.
    • Frequent interaction with customer representatives via face-to -face meetings, conference calls and activities at WW locations, as well as customer sites.
    • Support accuracy of inventory management to prevent shortages.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering Discipline or equivalent experience.
    • Must have excellent people, communication and computer skills, be a hands-on individual with good problem-solving skills.
    • Knowledge of dispatching and quality management software.
    • Experience driving materials planning, quality and continuous improvement strategies.
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in automotive or manufacturing environment preferred.
    • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills as well as ability to work within a team.
    • Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
    • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel and data base navigational skills.
    • Must be a self-starter with a take charge personality willing to take the lead in a team environment.
    • Ability to work weekends and willingness to travel to other sites.
