    Keen Transport, inc. is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Wash Bay within the Assembly department at our Shippensburg, PA facility.  The primary responsibility of this position is to complete assigned work within the time and quality limits established. The employee will be working in the wash bay, pressure washing and steam cleaning construction equipment before it ships to the customer or goes into the paint booth

    Job Description

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Using pressure wash tools on construction equipment
    • Steam cleaning construction equipment before it ships to customer or goes into paint booth.
    • Operation of fork lift for loading, unloading, or moving pieces or machines in the work area.
    • Understanding of all hand signals used around cranes and lift trucks while loading and unloading equipment.
    • Walk the yard area for purposes of inspection, inventory, or identification of machinery and/or pieces.
    • Climb, stoop, crawl, bend, stretch, lift and carry blocking, and otherwise assume positions required to load, inspect, and/or secure loads to trailers, flat racks, or containers.
    • Must have the capability to properly supervise helpers assigned to assist with job completion.
    • Must be able to follow the instructions of a supervisor to complete any assigned duty.

    Job Requirements

    REQUIREMENTS

    • High School diploma and demonstrated ability to follow specific orders
    • Prior experience with pressure wash and steam cleaning equipment preferred, but not required.
    • Frequent lifts and carrying of up to 50 pounds for distances of 50 feet, including overhead lifting
    • Climbing to and working at heights of up to 15 feet
    • Completing a full workday walking and/or standing
    • Pushing and pulling heavy material handling equipment such as floor cranes or jacks, and engaging in activities such as rolling tires or moving oak blocking.
    • Sufficient hand dexterity and strength to fasten, insert, and remove bolts, machine parts and pins of various sizes and weights and to operate and withstand the impact and vibration of electric and air-powered power tools.
    • Capable of work outside in all reasonable weather conditions
    • Conduct work responsibilities while exposed to dirt, dust, and fumes from the operation of construction equipment, cranes, forklifts, etc.
    • Maintain regular attendance as may be required for the position.
    • Steel-toe boots required.
    • Must pass post-offer drug screen as a condition of hire.
