    This position supports our 2nd Shift operation (Monday-Friday, 3:30PM-12:00AM). 

    Job Description

    The Production Supervisor will be responsible for planning and directing all department activities that support the WWL VPC objectives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: * Evaluate daily production requirements and ensure the appropriate scheduling of resources. * Provide direct, daily supervision of department employees. * Ensure adequate training of department employees. * Monitor inventory levels; identify and implement cost reduction activities. * Ensure that established operating procedures are followed for all department functions and processes. * Ensure department efficiency standards are met or exceeded while maintaining WWL standards of quality and efficiency which are established by the General Manager and are communicated via Time per Activity (TPA) and Labor Efficiency Goals (PET). * Maintain workplace safety standards, including proper storage/handling of hazardous waste materials. * Other duties may be assigned as needed.

    Job Requirements

    A good fit for this position has 3-5 years first line supervisory and employee relations experience, with a strong background in:

    • SOP, MRP, TQM, JIT, Kaizen, 5S, and visual factory management
    • Assembly line operation, with emphasis on automotive or mechanical applications
    • Microsoft Office computer skills, and database navigational skills

    A 4-year degree is preferred or high school diploma with equivalent experience.

    Must possess valid driver’s license and operate manual and automatic transmissions.
