    This position is responsible for the completion of assigned work within the time and quality limits established at site locations.  The employee recognizes their responsibility to perform all work in a safe and efficient manner and to adhere to all the safety rules and regulations that may apply at the site location.  

    Job Description


    1. Know and abide by all OSHA standards and company and job-site safety regulations.
    2. Operation of heavy construction equipment and a working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
    3. Use of hand and air powered tools.
    4. This job is physically demanding. Please refer to the list of physical activities required for this position.
    5. Must possess a valid drivers license.



    1. Operation of heavy construction equipment: positioning for work and transport.
      • Operate various track and rubber tired equipment including but not limited to wheel loaders, excavators, dozers, dump-trucks, skid steers and lift trucks.
    2. Must be willing and able to follow directions from any supervisor to complete all assigned tasks timely and safely.
    3. Must fully understand and abide by all company safety regulations and safe procedures required to accomplish each task.
    4. Must be willing to perform many different types of job functions as requested by supervisors including but not limited to:
    • Mounting or disconnection of blades, buckets, sticks, booms, side-frames, counter-weights, catwalks and safety rails, cabs, ROPS, and other machine parts.
    • Installation of machine kits as required.
    • Welding or assisting
    • Operation of rental equipment including but not limited to lift-trucks and cranes, boom trucks or other commercial equipment.
    • Traveling over-night and being out of town for several days or weeks as required by the job.
    • Travel may include driving or being a passenger in the company rigging truck. It may also include commercial air travel.

    Job Requirements


    Ability to satisfy the physical requirements of the job listed below as evidenced by successful completion of the company physical abilities test. 

    • Frequent lifts and carrying of up to 50 pounds for distances of 50 feet (could include oak block used for rigging and transport of machines).
    • Overhead lifting of 50 pounds
    • Climbing to and working at heights of up to 15 feet
    • Completing a full workday walking and/or standing
    • Perform work from a wide range of positions including: standing, sitting, bending , reaching, kneeling, reclining
    • Working from scaffolding or ladders
    • Sufficient hand and arm strength to un-package, install, or remove machine parts. May include the use of a 20 pound sledgehammer or other hand or power tools.
    • Pushing and pulling heavy material handling equipment such as floor cranes or jacks, and engaging in activities such as rolling tires or moving oak blocking.
    • Sufficient hand dexterity and strength to fasten, insert, and remove bolts and pins of various sizes and weights from a few ounces to 20 pounds and to operate and withstand the impact and vibration of electric and air-powered power tools.
    • Capable of work outside in all reasonable weather conditions
    • Conduct work responsibilities while exposed to dirt, dust, and fumes from the operation of construction equipment, cranes, forklifts, etc.
    • Must pass post-offer NIDA 5 drug screen as a condition of hire.
    • Must submit to Physical Abilities Testing.
