    Job Description

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Remove and install body parts, windshields, trim, molding, etc. Disassemble, clean and reassemble equipment and tools to ensure proper operation.
    • Clean the vehicle’s interior and exterior. This will include cleaning the Vehicle Paint Prep Area using chemicals.
    • Buff, re-assemble and prepare vehicle for painting including sanding, masking, primer coats, etc.
    • Mix and tint paint in compliance with manufacturer's instructions and match color of current paint.
    • Examine vehicle finish for paint defects.
    • Ensure that refinished vehicle repair meets WWL/NNA quality and production standards.
    • Maintain spray equipment to ensure proper operation.
    • Other responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary.
    • Applicant must be a highly motivated, self-starter, with the ability to work alone and committed to quality.
    • Willing to be flexible within the department and facility at all times.
    • Maintain work area housekeeping and assure appropriate safety practices.#CB

    Job Requirements

    Qualifications Necessary:

    • Previous professional work experience of 5 years or more as a paint / prep specialist.
    • Prior experience in paint preparation processes such as, wet sand, mask, buff and prime/edge/jam, with a commitment to continued learning is required.
    • Requires manual dexterity, strength, endurance, flexibility and the ability to see details at close range.
    • The ability to discriminate between colors and judge brightness and shade.
    • Demonstrates the ability to carry out specified work procedures and follows directions of supervisor.
    • Strong work history (including good attendance) and good communication skills.
    • Must have valid driver’s license.
