  • Job Description

    This position is accountable for the management of all production operations at the VPC, ensuring that customer, quality and efficiency standards are met.Duties:* Developing long and short-term strategies in support of VPC objectives.* Ensuring that coordinating and planning activities support VPC objectives.* Communicating VPC objectives, strategies, and activities to supervisory staff.* Ensuring that adequate training and tools are provided to supervisory staff.* Establishing routine management targets for the VPC.* Identifying and implementing cost reduction activities.* Implement, manage and support lean waste objectives and projects.* Evaluates and establishes operating procedures. Ensures that established operating procedures are followed for all production operations functions and processes.* Ensures that VPC efficiency standards are met and/or exceeded while maintaining WWL standards of quality. Efficiency standards are established by the General Manager and are communicated via Time per Activity (TPA) and Labor Efficiency Goals (PET).* Ensures that workplace safety standards are met, including the proper storage and handling of hazardous waste materials.* Ensures that the total quality management principles are executed. This includes but is not limited to Policy Management, Shop Floor Management and Routine Management processes.* Works cohesively with all members of VPC management.* Ensures VPC compliance with all WWL policies and procedures.* Advocates the Company Leadership Competencies.* Maintains confidential information and ensures that company confidentiality policies, as well as applicable state and federal confidentiality laws, are followed.* Maintains positive relations with customers, vendors, business associates and employees.* Ensures that supervisory staff is cross-trained in multiple VPC functions, and embraces a team-oriented approach to problem solving.* Performs other related duties, as required.

    Job Requirements

    Requirements: * Bachelor�s degree or equivalent work experience, plus five to seven years of related experience.* The ability to interpret diagrams and repair manuals.* Individual must be a self-starter with the ability to perform in high pressure and dynamic situations.* Must be proactive and think globally.* Must have proven management skills and experience in employee relations.* Must be able to work any shift and be open to future relocation. Ability to work long hours and weekends if required.* Must have strong computer skills, including Word, Excel and database navigational skills.* Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.* Must be comfortable speaking in front of large groups of people.* Must be able to rotate day and night shifts.* Must possess valid driver�s license & drive manual and automatic transmissions.
