    Established asset based logistics company is looking to add a carrier representative to our brokerage department. We are looking for highly motivated, self-starters who are results driven. A strong worker, having excellent oral and written communication ability, is detail and deadline oriented, while also being a quick learner.


    As a 3PL Carrier Rep, you will interact with carriers to match our shipments to appropriate carriers, by sourcing carriers and negotiate rates. In doing so you will also be responsible to grow and develop a carrier base you can rely on. You will provide information on supply and demand, pricing, while trouble shooting issues as they arise. Provide necessary information to team members and customers about the status of shipments, while also handling and resolve complaints.

    Job Description


    • Outbound phone calls to solicit and match carriers with available loads.
    • Take inbound calls for carrier availability and maintain that information for future use.
    • Develop relationships with carriers to develop them into core carriers.
    • Assists shipper representatives in completing requests for rate proposals.
    • Responsible for coordinating/overseeing the movement of each load from dispatch to delivery.
    • Track and trace shipments through outbound calls/emails.
    • Querying carrier websites to determine shipment status.
    • Trains, explains tasks, and assists in the problem solving solutions.
    • Resolves necessary questions related to shipments in transit as needed.
    • Requires various telemarketing type and similar data entry skills as required.
    • Analyzes transactions, corrects records, and adjusts errors.
    • Completes various administrative functions that are required as needed.


    Preference of at least one year experience in the transportation industry, on the brokerage side. Preferred, not required. Customer service with problem resolution experience, who understand the importance of proper customer service. Occupy a proper telephone manner and are comfortable with Microsoft products. Maintain the ability to compose correspondence and think on your feet. Perform with a sense of urgency while paying attention to even the smallest detail.

    Job Requirements


    • Able & willing to meet attendance requirements to facilitate an ongoing relationship with carriers utilized.
    • Employees must be able to remain at their workstation and answer phone calls and/or computer messages during the regular work day (two 4 hour periods separated by a 1 hour lunch break).
    • Some filing, faxing, copying, and other standard office operations must be performed during the workday. This may involve moving about the office to gather, fax, or file load related information.

    Must pass post offer drug screen and background check as a condition of hire. 



    Monday through Friday, 07:30 – 17:30, with a 1 hour lunch break. The job requires personnel to be on call occasionally in the evening and work a Saturday when needed/required, if needed hours would be 0800 – 1200. Employee is expected to stay beyond regularly scheduled hours as dictated by the workload.


    EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED, plus 2-3 related experience required. Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, with 1 years experience is preferred.
