  • Overview

    Keen Transport, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Customer Service Administrative Assistant within the Customer Service department at our Carlisle office. This position is responsible for the flow of accurate information to all Facility, Operations and Assembly personnel within the company, as well as manufacturers and customers. This includes the collection and dispersal of information pertinent to timely pick up, transit, and delivery of freight, fulfilling customer requirements and following state and federal regulations pertaining to over-dimensional loads. This position is also responsible for the development and maintenance of customer accounts.

    Job Description


    • Work with designated manufacturers and customers on product releases.
    • Use of computer keyboard for entering accurate load information and e-mail communication.
    • Courteous telephone manners, patience, and professionalism, with heavy customer contact during the day.
    • Able to organize and prioritize work with minimal supervision.
    • Problem resolution, decision making and general negotiation skills with customers.
    • Knowledge of geography and map reading ability.

    Job Requirements

    • High School diploma or equivalent, with business communication knowledge.
    • Customer Service experience required.
    • Transportation experience preferred, but not required.
    • Exposure or experience with TMW software is helpful.
    • Must meet attendance requirements: Monday thru Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm shift with a one hour lunch break. Additional hours may be required during peak business periods.
    • Must be deadline oriented and able to work in a potentially stressful environment.
    • This is a clerical position, which requires no heavy lifting but will include some filing.
    • Ability to input orders and customer information continually during a regularly scheduled 8-hour workday.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office package including Word, Excel, and Access. GroupWise e-mail package and general PC software knowledge.
